Shared Resources
If you are a member of an Embodied Intelligence lab or other CSAIL group that shares GPU resources, you will have access to the csail-shared partition, which contains shared nodes from all groups, and is preemptible by each group’s exclusive partitions.
This allows you to use resources owned by other groups while those resources would otherwise be idle. If your job is preempted by a system owner, it will be canceled immediately, so frequent checkpoints are advised.
If you submit a batch job with --requeue and it is preempted, the job will be immediately placed back in the queue.
