Room Reservations
Reserve is the 2025 replacement for CSAIL’s legacy room booking system, previously hosted at https://calendar.csail.mit.edu. It has been completely rewritten from the ground up using a modern framework.
To log into reserve, point your browser to https://reserve.csail.mit.edu .
Once you are logged in, you will see your overview page.
Making a Reservation
Choose the date you’d like to make a room reservation by clicking on the mini calendar on the appropriate day.
Next, find the room you want to reserve. You can either do this by choosing the room in the drop-down box labeled “Space”, or you can scroll in the main view of rooms until you find the room you want.
Click in the time slot you want to reserve. Your display will look similar to the screenshot above. You can then click the “CREATE” button. This will take you to the Details page.
On this screen, you can enter a title for your room booking (e.g., “Group Meeting”), verify the date and time (or alter them), choose a duration, and whether it should be a recurring meeting.
You can also add setup instructions by expanding the “Setup Help” section:
You can also add additional “owners” for this event, in case you want to let other people make changes to your booking, or cancel it:
Finally, click “SAVE” to finalize your room reservation.
Editing a reservation
Locate your room booking by navigating to the correct day. Double-click on your reservation.
The edit dialog will open. Make any changes you want - time, location, room setup, additional owners, etc.
Click SAVE.
Deleting a reservation
Locate your room booking by navigating to the correct day and clicking on it. The edit screen will open.
Click DELETE. A confirmation dialog will appear.
Click DELETE again. Your booking will be deleted.
Displaying your reservations
In the left-hand menu, click “My Reservations”.
Your reservations will be displayed. The default view is a calendar, but you can also select “List” view in the upper right hand corner of the screen.
