Web Server Statistics

Web server logs for most CSAIL Web servers are available to Lab members for analysis by logging in to the appropriate Web server (courses, groups, legacy, mit-only, people, or projects) in /var/log/apache2/access.log. These logs are split up into separate files for each virtual host on a daily basis, with the results stored in /afs/csail.mit.edu/proj/www/logs at about 6:45 AM each day. In addition, all virtual hosts have Webalizer analysis available at webstats.csail.mit.edu.

We intend that all CSAIL virtual hosts should have the same Webalizer configuration, but within that constraint, we would be interested in any comments, suggestions, or requests that you might have. We are particularly interested in knowing whether you would prefer to see the data with or without requests search engines, and whether we should include the breakdown by requesting user.
