How To Submit a CSAIL Work Product
Any current CSAIL lab member may submit an artifact (or a collection of artifacts) as a CSAIL Work Product to be placed in
MIT DSpace as part of the CSAIL Digital Archive
permanent collection.
Very Important Information
- MIT DSpace is a persistent archive
- Once an artifact has been officially approved and uploaded, it CAN NOT BE DELETED
- If there is any chance at all that your document is not a final version, do not submit it to the archive
Before submitting to the archive, be sure to answer
affirmatively the following two questions:
- "Would you want this to persist indefinitely in a permanent archive?"
- "Would you want someone to find and cite this?"
Formatting Guidelines
- Proofread your text very carefully
- Any standard file formats may be uploaded
- Groups of files may be uploaded (i.e. data sets, image libraries, etc.)
- Documents may be submitted "as is" without any change to the layout
Examples of Types of Documents That May be Submitted
- Multi-slide presentation
- Large format poster presented at a technical conference or for a CSAIL demonstration
- Video/audio clip of a CSAIL presentation or demonstration
- Design document (e.g., VeriLog? description) of a hardware component
- Dataset (e.g., Lisp, C, Java, Scheme, Perl) for a function or program
- CSAIL annual report
- Project status reports
- Rosters of lab personnel and space assignments
- Press mentions of CSAIL activity (subject to external copyright)
- Machine manifests
- Any other type of digital artifact
