VHS / DV Digitizing And Copying
Capture and Duplicate: And How to Make It Work
Digitize - (From VHS or DV)
- 1. Open iMovie or iMovie HD
- 2. Select "Clips" on the bottom right selector.
- 3. Select the Camera icon (as opposed to scissors) on the bottom left
- 4. Insert tape into bottom deck.
- 5. Set bottom deck to L-1 using its control panel.
- 6. Press play.
- 7. Press import in iMovie.
- 8. Press import in iMovie again to stop importing.
- 9. Remove tape from bottom deck.
Copy - (From DV or VHS to VHS)
- 1. Insert tape to record from on bottom deck.
- 2. Insert tape to record on in top deck.
- 3. Set bottom deck to L-1 using its control panel.
- 4. Press play on bottom deck.
- 5. Press record on top deck.
- 6. Press stop on both decks when done.
- 7. Remove both tapes.
