Changing passwords, addresses, phone numbers, etc
Changing your CSAIL Kerberos password
Run
passwd on any CSAIL Debian machine. Note that
/usr/local/csail/bin/passwd is actually a symlink to
/usr/bin/kpasswd. If
/usr/local/csail/bin is not in your PATH, you can still run
/usr/bin/kpasswd directly.
Changing addresses, phone numbers, etc
A generic command line tool is installed on CSAIL Debian system.
inquir-client knows how to display and modify numerous fields in INQUIR. Run
inquir-client -h for the complete usage summary. Note that
inquir-client is not really intended to be the primary interface to INQUIR. Instead, it should be the back end, and more friendly scripts, such as
inquir-chsh should be written to provide a more friendly interface.
Changing your CSAIL Unix Shell
You can change your unix shell at the
WebINQUIR interface. Also by logging into any CSAIL Debian machine (including
login.csail.mit.edu) and using the
inquir-chsh command.
Note: CSAIL Debian workstations are synchronized with INQUIR every 15 minutes, so there will be some delay before your changes take effect.
