How To Submit a CSAIL Technical Report
Any current CSAIL lab member may submit a document to the CSAIL Technical Report Series. Each document will receive a technical report number and will be placed in
MIT DSpace as part of the CSAIL Digital Archive
permanent collection.
Very Important Information
- MIT DSpace is a persistent archive
- Once an artifact has been officially approved and uploaded, it CAN NOT BE DELETED
- If there is any chance at all that your document is not a final version, do not submit it to the archive
Before submitting to the archive, be sure to answer
affirmatively the following two questions:
- "Would you want this to persist indefinitely in a permanent archive?"
- "Would you want someone to find and cite this?"
Formatting Guidelines
- Proofread your text very carefully (remember -- once it's uploaded, it's there for good)
- PDF or PS file formats may be uploaded
- Associated files (i.e. data sets, video clips) may also be uploaded along with the main file
- Documents may be submitted "as is" without any change to the layout
Examples of Types of Documents That May be Submitted
- Articles (unpublished or previously published)
- if previously published, be sure to check with your publisher as to any copyright issues
- Ph.D., M.Eng, S.M. Theses
- Technical reports or memoranda
- UROP or AUP reports advised by a CSAIL member
